Collette Savard and John Zytaruk

Collette Savard is a singer-songwriter with two CDs out, Zen Boyfriend and Most Improved Cheerleader.  She performs as a duo with her producer, multi-instrumentalist, John Zytaruk. They came to my school last week courtesy of Stellula Music as part of their Music in the Schools Week.  At the end of the week, Collette, John and I sat down for a long discussion touching on songwriting, arranging, passing the music on to the younger generation, copyright and more. Enjoy.

ArianaGillis

Ariana Gillis is a young up and coming singer songwriter with a voice that soars to the sky and a shock of purple hair.  She is accompanied by her father David Gillis. Ariana and Dave came to my school during Stellula Music in the Schools week and I spoke with them after school had ended.

Dawn Tyler Watson and Paul Deslauriers are individually known as the cream of Canada’s blues and rock performers.  A few years ago they got together and realized that they have incredible chemistry together as an acoustic duo. I spoke with Dawn and Paul during Stellula Music in the Schools week.
